RACE PACK PICK-UP
You can pick up the package of your participation (number of timing chip and blouse) from the race office, which will be located in Central Square of Xanthi, in front of the Town Hall entrance.
The race office will serve the runners:
Saturday, 27 November 2021 from 10:00 to 19:00 and
Sunday 28 November 2021 from 08:30 to 09:30
MANAGEMENT OF PERSONAL ITEMS
Contestants will deliver and pick up their personal belongings at the race office. Athletes are also asked not to carry valuables in their bags. The organization bears no responsibility for any loss of objects.
FEED ZONES
– For the Half Marathon Road,
5 km station: Water.
10 km station: Water, Gel, Banana.
15 km station: Water, Isotonic, Bars.
18 km station: Water, Isotonic, Banana, Coca Cola.
Finish: Water, Banana.
– For the 5 km Road,
3 km station: Water.
Finish: Water, Banana.
KILOMETRE SIGNS
Along the route there will be kilometer markings per kilometer.
TIME LIMIT
Participants must complete the race within 2.5 hours of the start time.
RUNNERS WHO DROP OUT
A car will follow the latest racers to pick up athletes that stopped. Those who do not need medical help but are leaving the race will have to wait at the stations (5km, 10km 15km 18km) for the car of the event to take them to the finish location.
COVID 19
The right to register and participate in the 2021 Democritus Half Marathon event, have the runners who will be fully vaccinated against COVID 19 or have proof of recovery from COVID-19, up to 15 days before receiving their participation kit from the Registration Center.
